Our mission is to enable teams to deliver personalized, engaging, and relevant content across all owned and paid channels, working closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics to translate Marketing’s technology needs into measurable business outcomes.
About the Role
We are seeking a Front‑End Web Developer to build and optimize DoorDash’s B2B Marketing websites. In this role, you’ll own front‑end development for our Marketing web properties, creating high‑performance, accessible, and scalable experiences that drive business growth. You will work at the intersection of design, technology, and marketing to translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop features and enhancements to marketing sites such as merchants.doordash.com, business.doordash.com, and dasher.doordash.com in a secure, well‑tested, and performant way.
Own front‑end development projects from scoping through implementation and optimization, collaborating closely with Marketing, Design, Content, and Engineering teams.
Craft code that meets internal style, maintainability, and best‑practice standards for a high‑scale web environment.
Lead front‑end architecture decisions, maintaining component libraries, performance optimisation strategies, and accessibility standards (WCAG compliance).
Optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining brand consistency and design fidelity.
Collaborate with the Web Platforms team on CMS integration (Contentful) to provide seamless content management experiences.
Implement responsive designs that work flawlessly across devices and browsers, using a mobile‑first approach.
Work with Marketing teams to implement tracking and analytics code, ensuring proper measurement of user behaviour and conversion metrics.
Conduct code reviews and mentor other developers on front‑end best practices and emerging web technologies.
Partner with Product and Strategy teams to scope major initiatives, define technical requirements, and deliver business outcomes.
Identify and implement improvements to the front‑end codebase, including performance optimisations, accessibility enhancements, workflow efficiencies, and developer‑experience improvements.
Stay current with web technologies, frameworks, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to enhance our marketing websites.
Qualifications
3‑6 years of professional front‑end web development experience, ideally supporting marketing or growth teams.
Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with expertise in React/Next.js (Vue.js or Angular also considered).
Experience with TypeScript and modern CSS methodologies (CSS‑in‑JS, CSS Modules, Tailwind, or similar).
Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and experience building inclusive web experiences.
Experience with modern deployment and hosting platforms (Vercel preferred) and web applications.
Experience with headless CMS platforms (Contentful preferred) and component‑driven content architecture, with Storybook for component development.
Familiarity with modern development workflows: Git, CI/CD pipelines, build tools (Webpack, Vite, Turborepo), and package managers.
Track record managing technical debt strategically and leading system modernisation efforts.
Experience with lead‑generation form architecture, including validation, routing, API integrations, and bot prevention.
Experience implementing web analytics, data‑layer management, and tag management (Google Tag Manager preferred).
Experience with web performance optimisation and SEO fundamentals, including meta‑tag management, structured data (JSON‑LD), rendering, crawlability, canonical/hreflang strategies, sitemap generation, and Core Web Vitals optimisation.
Strong collaboration and communication skills – ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Experience running or heavily contributing to a team’s execution: sprints, Jira, scoping, Confluence documentation.
Self‑starter mentality with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment and reasoning from first principles.
Experience integrating AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or MCPs into development workflows.
