Senior Account Manager
Reports to: Director, Account Management Team
Brief Description
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for communicating with and consulting marketing, medical, sales, education, market access, and training associates and managers within the pharmaceutical/healthcare marketplace. This individual will consult product and market access marketing teams in developing cost‑effective communications strategies to educate and change the behavior of a defined target audience. This position will also develop and present business proposals to existing marketing, medical, and market access clients to expand our existing client business. This role is responsible for managing client expectations, physician opinion leaders, and strategic partners along with collaborating with Operations and Scientific Innovation teams in fulfilling multiple projects.
Essential Functions
Lead and direct client interaction and contribute ideas and solutions routinely embraced across multiple accounts
Drive the internal team to define and fulfil projects within goals, timelines, budget, and staffing requirements
Relay and ensure alignment to client expectations, budgets, and scope of work and evaluate potential solutions when client and team expectations differ
Maintain accountability for obtaining all appropriate client approvals in partnership with internal team stakeholders
Create, present, and execute marketing, market access, and medical strategies and proposals for existing clients
Apply knowledge of appropriate regulatory and governmental environments impacting clients and projects
Solicit client and team feedback and apply key takeaways on future projects and use learnings to enhance service/product offerings
Develop and apply a deep understanding of product life cycle models, communications offerings, product marketing, and competitive/external environmental factors
Lead the team in strategic planning for assigned accounts. Take responsibility for brand planning, calls with AORs, and proactive account recommendations
Demonstrate high-level knowledge of the operational aspects of FORCE services, with deep expertise in multiple service areas and across multiple client accounts
Provide guidance to improve colleagues’ knowledge of FORCE products, services, and processes
Contribute to responses to brand‑driven RFPs
Present business forecasts and client strategy to leadership within assigned accounts and identify areas for PO optimization
Travel to client and offsite locations to manage meetings and events

Requirements
Required Education and/or Experience
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with at least 3 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience in medical education, pharmaceutical marketing, managed care, and/or pharmaceutical advertising
Periodic travel (local, national, or international) to client sites or events is required.
