LHH is currently recruiting for an Associate Media Director for a permanent opportunity with our client in the Dallas, TX area. This role is ideal for a seasoned media professional who can bring a strong strategic point of view, translate client goals into actionable media plans, and guide teams across paid search, paid social, programmatic, or a combination of these channels. The Associate Media Director will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, provide leadership to internal teams, and ensure media strategies are insight-driven, performance-focused, and aligned with business objectives. This is a hybrid opportunity at our client’s office in the Dallas area.

Responsibilities

Lead paid media strategy across paid search, paid social, programmatic, or integrated channel plans based on client goals, audience insights, and campaign performance.

Serve as a senior client-facing media lead, presenting strategic recommendations, campaign plans, performance insights, and optimization opportunities with confidence and clarity.

Partner closely with clients to understand business objectives, customer journeys, competitive dynamics, and success metrics, translating those inputs into thoughtful media strategies.

Oversee media planning, activation strategy, testing frameworks, budget allocation, forecasting, and performance measurement across multiple accounts or lines of business.

Guide internal teams in campaign structure, audience strategy, channel mix, optimization approach, reporting, and client-ready storytelling.

Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to media managers, strategists, specialists, or coordinators, helping elevate strategic thinking and execution quality across the team.

Review campaign performance and reporting to identify actionable insights, optimization opportunities, and recommendations that improve efficiency, scale, and ROI.

Collaborate with account, strategy, analytics, creative, and project management teams to ensure media plans are integrated, measurable, and aligned with broader marketing objectives.

Lead strategic planning discussions, QBRs, campaign readouts, and proactive client recommendations that demonstrate media value and business impact.

Stay current on paid media trends, platform updates, measurement changes, and emerging opportunities across search, social, programmatic, video, and digital media.

Support new business, audits, media POVs, and strategic recommendations as needed, bringing a consultative and solutions-oriented approach to client challenges.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in media planning, paid media strategy, performance marketing, or digital media.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

Agency experience is required, with demonstrated success managing client relationships and strategic media work in a fast-paced environment.

Previous leadership experience required, including managing, mentoring, or directing the work of media team members.

Strong experience in paid search, paid social, programmatic, or a combination of these channels.

Proven ability to develop strategic media plans that connect client business goals to channel strategy, audience approach, budget recommendations, and measurable outcomes.

Confident client-facing presence with strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Experience leading campaign strategy, performance analysis, optimizations, testing plans, and executive-level reporting.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data, identify insights, and communicate recommendations in a clear and compelling way.

Ability to manage multiple client priorities, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining a high standard of strategic and executional quality.

Collaborative leadership style with the ability to partner effectively across account, strategy, creative, analytics, and activation teams.

Comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands‑on level when needed, with the ability to guide teams through planning, execution, and optimization.

Highly organized, solutions‑oriented, and able to thrive in an agency environment with multiple clients, timelines, and priorities.

Ability to work hybrid at our client’s office in the Dallas area.
