Position Summary
The Director of Secure Credential Design & Delivery is a senior leadership role reporting to the CTO, responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of secure credential programs across design, engineering, and manufacturing domains. The role provides single‑point accountability for cross‑functional execution, overseeing Card Design, Software Engineering, QA, and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver complex credential solutions from concept through production deployment. It requires a leader who can modernize delivery through structured program management, data‑driven execution, and AI‑enabled acceleration, significantly improving cycle time and delivery predictability.

Scope of Responsibility

Executive leadership of cross‑functional delivery teams

Secure Credential Design

Software Engineering

Quality Assurance

Manufacturing Engineering

Direct reporting to CTO; frequent interaction with executive leadership

Primary interface to customer PMOs for delivery execution

Key Responsibilities

Own delivery of secure credential programs from concept through factory production and go‑live

Develop and manage integrated, cross‑functional program schedules

Drive risk management, dependency resolution, and change control

Daily stand‑ups

Executive reviews and status reporting

Cross‑Functional Integration

Unify execution across design, software, QA, and manufacturing

Ensure alignment between:

Design intent and manufacturability

Software systems and production workflows

QA validation and release readiness

Eliminate silos and resolve cross‑team dependencies

AI‑Driven Delivery Acceleration

Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI across the lifecycle, including:

Design automation and concept generation

Rapid prototyping and iteration of secure credential layouts

Code generation / developer productivity tools

Automated test generation and QA validation acceleration

Establish AI‑enabled workflows that reduce manual effort and improve throughput

Partner with engineering leadership to embed AI into tooling, pipelines, and processes

Operational Excellence & Delivery Transformation

Implement and scale delivery frameworks (Agile / hybrid) with strong JIRA discipline

Establish structured backlog management, sprint execution, and reporting standards

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and increase predictability

Implement KPI dashboards and data‑driven execution management

Serve as senior delivery lead interfacing with customer PMOs

Provide transparent, proactive communication on program status, risks, and mitigation

Lead and develop a high‑performing, multidisciplinary team

Build leadership bench strength across design, engineering, and program management

Establish clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations

Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

Qualifications
Required

BA or BS with 10+ years of experience leading complex, cross‑functional programs

Must be able to successfully pass various background screening requirements including criminal history, education, credit, and drug screen as well as obtain any required program specific credentials and certifications

Must be a sole US citizen without dual citizenship

Experience spanning:

Product / design (physical or secure products)

Manufacturing / production environments

Software development lifecycle (Agile or hybrid)

Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams across design, engineering, QA, and program management

Executive communication

Experience engaging with customer PMOs and external stakeholders

Preferred

Experience in secure documents, identity solutions, or regulated product domains

Experience implementing JIRA‑based delivery frameworks at scale

Experience leading digital transformation or AI‑enabled productivity initiatives

Agile / program management certifications

Leadership Profile

Executive presence and ability to influence at CTO level

Systems thinker who connects design, software, and manufacturing into a unified delivery model

Strong execution bias with focus on measurable outcomes

Change agent capable of modernizing delivery through process, tooling, and AI

Data‑driven leader focused on transparency and accountability

The US base salary for this full‑time position is $134,560.00 – $168,199.00 plus bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
