Associate Designer – Special Projects, Design Standards
Location: Irvine, California. Remote work available.

Responsibilities

Design new restaurant, remodel and refresh concepts, including layout and signage.

Lead and consult on design work for new restaurants and remodel initiatives.

Review design and layout for remodels and new restaurants for corporate and franchise standards.

Manage and document the design process and workstreams cross‑functionally.

Create and update design decks, signage, decor specifications and spec books.

Update spec books with new finish guidelines, detailed drawings and design playbooks for NRO and refresh/remodel programs.

Source and manage vendors for art, signage, furniture, finishes, ensuring quality compliance.

Maintain vendor contacts and assess alternate finishes and suppliers.

Present design updates and strategy to senior leaders.

Support cost‑reduction programs by identifying alternative suppliers and running RFP processes.

Collaborate with Construction, Operations, Marketing and other departments to align deliverables with business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (preferred) or related field.

5+ years’ experience in commercial or restaurant design.

Proficiency with SketchUp, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Monday.com.

Strong understanding of ADA compliance and brand standards.

Strong project management, communication and collaboration skills.

Vendor management experience.

Attention to detail, design accuracy, creative problem‑solving and adaptability.

Compensation
Salary range: $98,400 to $115,800 annually, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.
