Job Summary
Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Account Director to join our growing team! The Senior Account Director manages client relationships on large or multiple engagements. They serve as a trusted partner to clients, not only in relation to what Real Chemistry can offer them, but in understanding the market and identifying solutions to business problems.

We want someone who can lead client engagements, manage and galvanize cross‑functional team members, drive innovative integrated solutions, and deliver groundbreaking results and client satisfaction. This hybrid role is based in any of our US offices—including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.

What you’ll do

Lead & develop multiple client engagements of varying sizes in a fast‑paced environment.

Provide counsel on research findings, industry knowledge, the external marketplace, and competitive pressures and brand influences to sell agency expertise, gain consensus on creative ideas, and develop initiatives.

Empower teams through engaging career development practices. Encourage and lead internal teams to ensure technical and operational excellence in all executions.

Participate in leadership activities and recruiting events to attract and retain talent.

Provide strategic direction for the business, in partnership with internal leadership, to ensure team is always delivering their best work.

Maintain and cultivate relationships with key media channels to ensure our services are executed strategically.

Thoroughly understand Real Chemistry’s capabilities and demonstrate a passion for healthcare, digital, and communications to help spot opportunities for the client to achieve greater success, reach a broader audience and use all the tools at their disposal. Sell ideas internally and to clients.

Function as the contact point for project challenges to keep projects timely and on‑budget. Lead operations and maintain financial accountability for the performance of engagements through close oversight of budgets and pitches.

Partner with practice, shared service leads throughout the business, and team, to find opportunities to streamline, elevate and innovate our tactical processes.

Identify and develop integrated business (social media/digital, content) through trend‑spotting, strategic recommendations, and introducing clients to the full scope of Real Chemistry’s capabilities.

What you should have

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field or equivalent experience is required.

8+ years proven experience in a professional environment within the public relations, communications, and / or advertising industries. Integrated healthcare PR experience required.

Demonstrated ability to grow existing business and participate strategically in new business.

Outstanding project management skills. Demonstrated ability to meet timelines, prioritize, and manage detailed budgets.

Outstanding business interpersonal skills. Ability to explain sophisticated technical terms, clinical trials, and studies pertaining to the brand. Able to communicate critical information to management and the client. Very strong data orientation.

Ability to break down major business challenges into measurable steps to achieve success.

Strong influencing skills to affect change internally and with the clients.

Management experience required. Able to empower, keep teams on track, and participate in professional development of staff.

High energy, able to effectively operate in fast‑paced, growing and evolving environment.

The position may require some domestic travel for client meetings and conferences (10 percent).

Pay Range
$105,000-$130,000. The Company believes it will pay that range at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
