Role Overview
This is a role for an SEO/GEO Specialist who will be accountable for SEO strategy and operations, reporting to the Senior Manager, Social & Content. The specialist will lead analysis of consumer and professional‑facing websites, stay abreast of GEO trends, and partner with GIT and Global Product Owners for technical optimizations. Collaboration with marketing teams, cross‑functional partners, and agency resources will support growth plans.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage a holistic SEO/GEO strategy for Hill’s US laddering up to business goals and KPIs, working collaboratively with paid media, brand, and website teams.
Develop a deep understanding of business, brand, and category to develop a strategic POV on how to win on search for brand. Work with a cross‑functional team to educate and influence the same.
Implement and optimize unified SEO/GEO strategies and campaigns that align with our content strategy to drive long‑term search and generative engine visibility.
Perform extensive research (on‑page & off‑page) against business priorities to fuel roadmap development for site optimisations, working closely with internal & external teams to action optimisations.
Analyze current technical SEO performance of owned domains, including page speed, site information architecture, page structure, and internal linking structure; identify and make recommendations to further optimise each area.
Assess meta‑data and schema gaps & opportunities and leverage tools to optimise and implement.
Stay abreast of SEO & GEO trends and keep business updated with core updates, ensuring that considerations are reflected and pivoted where necessary within strategies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field.
3+ years of proven experience in digital marketing with hands‑on optimization and content creation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of agile methodology and process.
Knowledge of social platform best practices.
Subject‑matter expertise in SEO, paid media, and CRM touchpoints.
Experienced public speaker and/or PR‑related skills and training.
Digital literacy pertaining to the nutrition, commercial, and/or veterinary space.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $96,800.00 – $137,000.00 USD, based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit‑sharing, and long‑term incentives for Executive‑level roles.
Benefits include: medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits: at least 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees: at least 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays. Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws.
