Game Designer
We are advising a gaming company on a Game Designer to support the development of new casino game products.
This is a hands-on design role focused on turning game concepts into complete, playable products. The designer will help define themes, features, bonus rounds, paytables, symbol sets, game flow, and supporting documentation while working closely with art, animation, audio, engineering, math, QA, and production teams.
The position is well suited to someone who understands how player appeal, math, game mechanics, regulatory requirements, and production execution fit together. The designer should be comfortable moving from early concept through documentation, implementation support, playtesting, iteration, and final game quality review.
Key Responsibilities
Develop creative concepts for new casino game themes, features, and bonus rounds
Design game mechanics that balance player experience, entertainment value, and commercial performance
Create and maintain detailed game design documentation for art, audio, engineering, math, and QA teams
Define paytables, reel structures, symbol sets, bonus behavior, feature rules, and supporting game logic
Work with math, engineering, and compliance stakeholders to ensure game behavior meets required standards
Partner with artists, animators, sound designers, developers, and production teams to bring game concepts to completion
Playtest games throughout development and recommend changes to improve clarity, pacing, engagement, and usability
Review performance results from released games and apply learnings to future designs
Iterate on game designs based on stakeholder feedback, testing results, production constraints, and market needs
Support project planning, timeline tracking, task organization, and cross-functional coordination
Create, update, and maintain required design, math, frequency, pool, and lab-related documentation
Contribute to improvements in the game design and development process
Help ensure final game quality across design, functionality, performance, stability, reliability, and compatibility
Required Experience
3 or more years in a slot game design role or on the game design team (math, creative, producer, etc)
2 recent years of slot game design ownership
Understanding of casino game design, slot mechanics, player experience, or game feature development
Ability to create clear design documentation and communicate requirements to technical and creative teams
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify design, logic, or quality issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to analyze problems, organize work, and manage multiple priorities without losing quality
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams through development, testing, and release
