Position Summary:
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor acts as support for the Composite Business Unit Manager on team improvements activities and provides input and assistance to the Business Unit Manager on team needs, problems and resolutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensures product is built following product and process specifications
Assigns work to the team to ensure completion of daily production requirements
Train or assign a trainer for new employee training in proper boat building methods
Assists Business Unit Manager in planning and scheduling the departments work
Monitors the team's work to ensure quality standards are met
Maintains required production records
Communicates the current product, process or material constraint to the Business Unit Manager
Promotes a safe clean work environment
Fills in for absent or vacationing employees
Provides input to Business Unit Manager for employee performance evaluations
Provides leadership for Continuous Improvement activities
Promotes an upbeat attitude
Coaches team members in areas of quality, safety, housekeeping, schedule, productivity and team behavior
Must have basic computer knowledge
Assists with training team members to develop job knowledge and improve performance
Ensure that daily labor tracking records are maintained by team members
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High School graduate, some college or equivalent preferred
Minimum two years management experience preferred

Pass a background check, drug test and physical
Promote a safe and clean work environment
Willingness to work on a team or individually
Able to follow manufacturing instruction and understand processes
Must practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated per area. (Use safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, etc.)
Must follow company safety guidelines
Must be fluent in the English language
