Senior Creative Manager - Marketing Agency Job at Margle in Milwaukee

Margle · Milwaukee, WI, USA · Remote ·

Pay:
$95,000-$105,000/yr
Job type:
Freelance

Margle Media sits at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and performance. We’re a fast-moving digital agency helping brands grow through strategy, content, creative, social, influencer, and performance marketing.

We’re looking for a Senior Creative Manager to serve as the connection point between strategy and creative execution — making sure creative projects are properly planned, resourced, coordinated, and delivered while supporting our internal creative team and external creative partners.

This is a role for someone who understands marketing, creative production, and agency workflows, and knows how to turn strategic direction into high-quality creative work.

What You’ll Do
You’ll lead creative development and execution across client accounts:

Collaborate with the Director of Accounts to understand project goals, messaging, audiences, and creative objectives

Participate in creative planning, concept development, and review discussions

Apply audience research, strategic insights, campaign objectives, and performance learnings to creative recommendations and execution decisions

Review creative work through both a creative and marketing lens, and provide thoughtful feedback throughout the process

You’ll plan resources and manage creative partners:

Assess creative project requirements and determine the right internal and external resources

Help allocate creative budgets across designers, editors, freelancers, and production needs

Source, onboard, and manage freelance designers, editors, photographers, videographers, and creative specialists

Build and maintain a reliable freelancer network, plus a best practice guide for briefing, file delivery, revisions, and communication

You’ll support the creative team and stay close to execution:

Serve as the day‑to‑day lead for the creative team, including a videographer, video editor, and content creator

Help prioritize work, remove roadblocks, and support quality and consistency across projects

Participate in client creative planning, presentations, and reviews, building confidence through your expertise

Jump into hands‑on creative support when needed — light design, content updates, and asset prep using Adobe Creative Suite

Actively integrate AI tools (generative image, video, copy, and workflow automation) to improve speed, quality, and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

5+ years in a creative, agency, marketing, content, production, or creative operations role

Experience managing a team as well as freelance creative talent and vendors

Strong understanding of marketing, branding, content, and creative production workflows

Experience in client-facing conversations and presentations

Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and related tools)

Hands‑on proficiency with AI creative tools and a demonstrated ability to build them into production workflows

Deep understanding of how creative performs across digital platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, CTV, and display)

Excellent communication, organization, and relationship‑management skills, with strong creative judgment and attention to detail

Who You Are
You’re marketing-minded and creatively curious, comfortable operating between strategy and execution. You can connect research, strategy, audience insights, and performance data to creative decisions — and you’re just as confident leading a client conversation as you are jumping into a project to make the work better.

You’re organized without being process‑heavy, resourceful, and solutions‑oriented. You understand not just what needs to be created, but why it matters.
