Position Summary
The Partnerships Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue at Crown Complex through the sale of marketing partnerships across all business lines, including intellectual property rights, experiential, media, branding, signage, hospitality, events, and promotions. This position will work directly with the Regional Director to lead the local operation and be responsible for the sales and service for all corporate partnerships. Compensation will consist of base salary plus sales commission, with an annual salary of $50,000–$60,000 and commission eligibility. The role requires achieving measurable financial results.

About The Venue
Located in the heart of Cumberland County, Crown Complex is a state‑of‑the‑art, five‑venue complex comprising a 4,500‑seat arena, a 9,200‑square‑foot ballroom, a 10,880‑seat coliseum, an exposition center with 60,000 square feet of unobstructed space, and a 2,440‑seat theatre. Managed by OVG, the Complex is home to the Fayetteville Marksmen hockey team (SPHL) and Fayetteville Fury indoor soccer team (NISL) and hosts a variety of other sporting events, family shows, concerts, and special productions year‑round.

Responsibilities

Establish new marketing partnerships to achieve annual revenue goals.

Conduct cold calls to secure appointments with new prospects among local and national companies.

Meet with corporate partners and outside agencies at their place of work to ensure timely creation and placement of branding.

Analyze specific marketing needs of prospects based on partner objectives, market strategies, category potential, activation potential, and financials.

Support and work closely with regional and on‑site local management.

Present proposals in front of individuals and large groups.

Leverage passion and empathy to develop long‑term business partnerships between clients and venues.

Communicate effectively across all areas of the company, including broadcast, accounting, marketing, community relations, and ticket operations.

Work closely with the Event Services and Marketing teams to ensure superior service and fulfillment of each contract.

Prepare advertising, sponsorship, and premium seating contracts and addenda; identify issues, address concerns, and negotiate corporate sales pricing and other rates as required.

Oversee event and premium seating staff to ensure excellent game/event day experiences.

Develop sales action plans to hit budget goals, including new cash partnerships.

Prospect, sell, cultivate, and maintain corporate sponsorships for the venues in both new and renewal business.

Oversee the service of corporate partnerships through direct contact, newsletters, partner gatherings, and client entertainment events.

Develop relationships with regional brands for potential synergy across the OVG portfolio.

Work with outside agencies to get corporate partnership signage created and placed.

Create year‑end recaps of the season for corporate partners.

Serve all corporate sponsorships through direct contact, newsletters, and partner gatherings.

Design and present integrated marketing packages using traditional, digital, and other non‑traditional marketing channels to meet client objectives.

Attend events, promotions, and OVG Corporate Sales events.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training & experience.

3–5 years of sales experience, emphasizing college or pro athletics, entertainment, larger‑market media (TV, radio), and/or sponsorship sales.

Proven track record of developing and managing highly strategic corporate partnerships with strong prospecting, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

Demonstrated success in establishing and meeting challenging sales objectives in a high‑profile, competitive marketplace.

Comfortable managing tight deadlines and meeting aggressive sales goals and expectations.

Strong professional relationship skills with the ability to establish and maintain long‑term strategic relationships with corporate clients, direct reports, and coworkers.

Skilled negotiator capable of effectively representing departmental standards and philosophy.

Strong time‑management and organizational skills.

Experience with Salesforce/KORE (CRM) preferred.

Able to work non‑traditional hours in non‑traditional settings.

Highly self‑motivated and adept at working both independently and as part of a team.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

Ready to work nights, all events, weekends, and holidays as required.
