Director – HPE Operations Compliance & Controls
This senior leadership role within HPE Operations is responsible for ensuring the organization adheres to evolving regulatory requirements, maintains a strong controls environment, and proactively mitigates operational risk. Reporting to the VP of HPE Operations Business Operations, the director partners across HPE Operations and enterprise compliance functions to embed trust and compliance by design while supporting business resilience and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance, Controls & Readiness
Lead the HPE Operations Compliance & Controls function and set priorities that support business objectives.
Ensure the organization remains prepared for emerging regulations, policy changes, audit requirements, and customer expectations.
Translate evolving requirements into practical, scalable solutions in partnership with OLAA and other compliance organizations.
Simplify and modernize compliance-related processes, reducing friction while maintaining controls and risk management.
Champion a proactive culture of readiness, helping teams anticipate and prepare for regulatory and business changes.
Risk Management & Operational Resilience
Lead programs supporting enterprise risk management, business continuity, operational controls, audit readiness, and policy adherence.
Implement mechanisms to identify, assess, mitigate, monitor, and report compliance and operational risks.
Partner with Operations leaders to strengthen resiliency and preparedness for business disruptions.
Drive a proactive approach to risk management, preventing issues before they impact business or customers.
Business Enablement & Partnership
Build trusted relationships across HPE Operations and key corporate partners to drive alignment and execution.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on compliance, risk, controls, and resilience matters.
Influence decisions in a matrixed environment, balancing business objectives with compliance obligations.
Promote a culture where compliance and controls enable business acceleration and customer outcomes.
AI & Operational Transformation
Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to simplify compliance processes and improve user experiences.
Build an AI‑ready Compliance & Controls organization that embraces innovation with safeguards and accountability.
Drive continuous improvement through data, automation, and modern operational practices.
Leadership
Lead and develop a high‑performing global team of managers and professionals.
Provide clear strategic direction, execution accountability, and operational excellence.
Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
Build organizational capabilities to meet evolving business, regulatory, and operational needs.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Juris Doctor or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
Experience : 15+ years of leadership experience in operations, compliance, controls, risk management, audit, business continuity, or related disciplines. Prior Director‑level experience leading managers and professionals in a global organization is strongly preferred.
Knowledge & Skills : Strong understanding of compliance, audit, controls, business continuity, and risk management disciplines; aptitude for evolving regulations and emerging risks; exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills; track record of operational excellence and results with urgency.
Personal Attributes : Credibility and sound judgment in compliance and risk; emotional intelligence and ability to influence at all levels; passion for simplification, user experience, and AI automation; urgency, accountability, and strong operational rigor.

Compensation
Annual Salary USD 143,500 – 347,500 in Texas. Variable incentives may also be offered.
