Job Overview Join Target as the Director of Digital Marketing Strategy, Sitewide, and lead Target’s digital shopping experience across Target.com and the store network’s fulfillment capabilities. This role drives strategic initiatives for Digital Site Merchandising, including Home Page, Seasonal Hubs, Gifting Destinations, and Loyalty. You will build a team of Digital Marketers and develop guest engagement strategies that optimize digital performance, improve conversion, and deliver seamless, joyful shopping experiences.
Core Responsibilities Develop annual & quarterly strategic frameworks for digital initiatives.
Define an insights‑led vision and mobilize the team to execute strategies in partnership with leaders across Category, Merchandising, Marketing and Digital.
Create annual and quarterly strategy plans, including goals, KPIs, building blocks, dependencies, and activation priorities.
Lead content strategy and storytelling tactics across teams, test, iterate, and apply insights to drive excellence.
Monitor data and key metrics from multiple sources to guide short‑ and long‑term strategies.
Identify and assess whitespace opportunities to innovate across assortment, experience, brand and technology.
Maintain accountability for delivering financial results and ensuring strategies drive topline sales and profitability.
Work horizontally across Digital, Marketing and Enterprise partners, driving balanced visions that mix guest, business and brand needs.
Communicate strategies to senior leaders, partners and executive leadership.
Champion enterprise change, communicate effectively, and drive modernization and transformation of Digital.
Lead and develop a global team of up to eight members, fostering collaboration, communication, efficiency and speed.
Qualifications 4‑year college degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in eCommerce, Marketing, Digital Media, Marketing Strategy or equivalent.
Proven leadership experience with ability to develop and manage high‑performing teams.
Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of building strong working relationships with executive leaders across functions.
Strong strategic, analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, disparate projects across disciplines simultaneously while driving outcomes.
Strong digital acumen.
Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement (onsite at Target HQ MN location and virtual as required).
