Role Description

The Associate Director of Sales is a full-time, on-site role based in Carlsbad, CA, responsible for leading sales initiatives that drive revenue growth and market expansion for ScienCell’s product portfolio. This position oversees daily sales operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking, while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention. The role involves managing and mentoring a sales team, setting clear goals, and providing coaching to support individual and team success. The Associate Director of Sales collaborates with business development, marketing, and product teams to identify new opportunities, refine go-to-market strategies, and support key account activities. Regular responsibilities include engaging with research institutions and biotech customers, presenting product solutions, negotiating contracts, and providing feedback to internal stakeholders on customer needs and market trends.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Sales and Business Development, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and growth targets.
Experience in Sales Operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and process optimization.
Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on building long-term relationships and delivering responsive, solution-oriented support.
Proven Team Management capabilities, including hiring, coaching, performance evaluation, and fostering a collaborative sales culture.
Background in biotechnology, life sciences, or related industry strongly preferred; familiarity with cell culture, molecular biology, or research products is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field required; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Carlsbad, CA, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
