The Indiana Cultural Commission Director serves as the strategic and operational lead for the Commission, responsible for coordinating activities, ensuring statutory compliance, and advancing the mission to support Indiana's diverse communities. This position reports to the External Affairs Director of the Indiana Civil Rights Commission and oversees Commission operations, policy development, and statewide stakeholder engagement. The Director translates legislative intent into actionable initiatives and ensures the Commission functions effectively as a statewide advisory and coordinating body.
Key Qualifications
Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience, or Associate's Degree with 7+ years of experience, or 9+ years of related experience
Specialized knowledge in program subject matter and extensive knowledge of federal and state laws governing programs
Ability to develop and implement policies, present to diverse stakeholders, and analyze information to solve problems
Experience preparing financial and accounting reports and managing program budgets and grants
Supervisory experience with ability to delegate work, manage workflow, and develop employee skillsets
