Job Overview

A sales position responsible for the acquisition, growth, and retention of bank customers, with a specific focus on Preferred Program customers and mass affluent prospects. The role proactively contacts and services customers in the sales and service of bank products, conducts needs‑based assessments, and engages partners to fulfill client financial needs. The candidate utilizes and promotes the Retail Consultative Sales process, using prescribed tools and partnering with the financial center team for referral activity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Execute retail strategies and tactics to increase Preferred Program households, fulfill customer needs, and provide an excellent customer experience while removing roadblocks to achieve goals.
Build deep relationships with customers to earn status as trusted advisor by leveraging consultative sales and service processes.
Simplify and communicate complex financial concepts.
Participate actively in financial center huddles and meetings to support sales and motivational activities.
Provide guidance to the Financial Center team in the referral/sales process with a focus on Preferred customers.
Maintain a well‑developed knowledge of the product and service line and keep up-to-date, requesting assistance for further development as needed.
Consistently meet or exceed investment sales and referral goals set by management, working with Investment Executives.
Initiate and maintain customer and prospect contact through customer interaction, telemarketing, seminars, and community events.
Stay current on business industry and economic trends to anticipate and provide new solutions for customers’ financial needs.
Qualifications

College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in a sales environment; experience in the financial industry.
Consultative selling skills certification and ongoing educational requirements completed.
Series SIE, 6, 63 and insurance licenses required.
For external hires, Series 65 must be obtained within 90 calendar days of hire, with no more than two attempts within the period.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a revenue‑producing book of business in the mass affluent segment.
Ability to present a professional image and interact with the public.
Potential to work with one or more FCs, requiring some local travel.
SAFE Act registration at time of employment through Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Working Conditions

Normal office environment with extended computer screen use. Occasional local and overnight travel as required.

Base salary reflects the range for the pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries vary based on role, skills, experience, education, and location. The role is eligible for incentive compensation based on company, line of business, and individual performance.
