Summary

You will primarily be responsible for the strategic coordination and drafting of responses to regulatory obligations, to ensure content compliance. You will also manage escalations, including by coordinating cross-functional responses to content decisions that take into consideration local regulatory compliance and international human rights obligations, product, operational considerations, and weigh risks in order to provide effective policy advice to leadership and make decisions in a time-sensitive environment.
Required Skills

Content Policy Manager, Regulatory Compliance Responsibilities:
Coordinate efforts to respond to regulatory obligations with accuracy and consistency across the Content Policy organization

Contribute to the Systemic Risk Assessments as Subject Matter Experts

Draft responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) on our content policies and compliance strategy

Provide support for regulatory Transparency Reports

Manage regulatory escalations relating to freedom of expression

Engage constructively with regulators and auditors, advocating for approaches that protect user rights

Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Integrity Governance Risk and Compliance, Integrity Compliance Office, Legal, Public Policy, Human Rights Policy, Content Policy, Communications, and Trust & Safety

Act as an escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues, including oncall rotations in timezone, with potential irregular hours

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years of experience working in tech policy, law, integrity compliance, human rights, government, or risk management with an emphasis on platforms and technology

Experience with Internet/social media content issues

Understanding of and experience in Meta policies and standards (eg: Facebook’s Community Standards)

Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and project management experience

Experience working cross-functionally and consensus-building

Understanding of Meta's products and principles

Proven written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience presenting policy rationale to regulators, legal teams, and non-technical stakeholders through written briefs and verbal presentations

Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Proficiency in crafting policy documentation for a wide-ranging audience

Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

Experience dealing with escalations

$122,000/year to $180,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
