Operations Technician
Operations Technician responsible for safely maintaining equipment, reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting drawings, inspecting and supervising equipment, and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
Analyze data and collaborate with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems.
Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, and protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
Maintain general knowledge of site/location/equipment and permitting.
Complete assigned reports and logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum two (2) years of related experience, including at least one (1) year as a technician in the oil and gas industry.
Preferred: Associate’s or two‑year technical degree.
Physical & Environment
Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces.
Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed.
Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods.
Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE.
Use hand tools.
Shift, Work Hours & Travel
Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as needed.
May be required to work overtime, 10‑12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
Other Requirements
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Demonstrate aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.
Demonstrate excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and put safety as the utmost priority.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills, process control systems, and programmable logic controllers.
