Social Media Specialist

Job Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Social Media Specialist in the Marketing/PR industry, based in Long Beach, California. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies, creating engaging content, and analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement social media strategies to align with business goals

Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)

Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency

Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics

Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews

Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)

Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications

Measure the success of every social media campaign

Use various digital publishing platforms to create structured drafts

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the Marketing/PR industry

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva

Demonstrable experience with creating and managing editorial content

Proven track record in using Facebook Insights for data analysis and campaign improvement

Familiarity with Google+ and its utilization in social media strategy

Experience with developing and implementing social media advertisements

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret social media data and analytics

Proven experience in increasing brand awareness through social media platforms
