Production Technician
Position is responsible for performing processes to clean, inspect, assemble and test Alliant Power's remanufactured products. Key departmental responsibilities include performing processes by following established methods and procedures, accurately assembling/preparing various parts, producing the average number of components required in your designated work area, maintaining a clean and organized work area, assisting in continuous improvement, participating in random evaluations, containing a willingness to train other employees, completing required documentation, promptly alerting supervision of any machine or facilities issues, ensuring that personal protective equipment (PPE) is being used when and where required, being willing to work overtime as required by workload, being available to work in all areas of production, operating in conformance with the requirements of the quality management system, assisting other employees both in and out of the department, providing feedback on system needs/changes, and performing other related duties and assignments as required.
Skills and qualifications include having a high school diploma or equivalent, being well organized, detail oriented, having strong inter-personal skills, being a self-starter with initiative and ability to work independently, having regular attendance, being proficient in computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, having the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach, having reliable transportation to work, and being prepared to come in contact with mild chemicals with PPE provided.
Shift: We are currently hiring for two positions. The first opening is for a first-shift team member. This position offers the flexibility of either a four-day, 10-hour schedule or a five-day, 8-hour schedule. We are also potentially looking to fill a second-shift position, with hours of Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
