Key Responsibilities

Media Relations:

Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers in the USA and internationally to promote Eritrea’s strategic significance to Western interests and its relationship with Israel.

Strategic Communication:

Develop and distribute press releases, articles, and speeches that highlight Eritrea’s role as a reliable strategic military ally in the Red Sea, Horn of Africa, and surrounding regions. Emphasize Eritrea’s Judeo-Christian heritage and its ability to counter expansionist ambitions.

Investment & Economic Opportunities:

Communicate the unlimited investment opportunities Eritrea offers, with a focus on infrastructure, job creation, and economic development that will elevate millions of Africans from poverty. Position Eritrea as a critical partner for the West.

Brand Messaging:

Develop a compelling narrative around Eritrea as a key partner for Western powers to secure a stable Red Sea shipping route, safeguard global trade, and prevent disruption caused by adversarial forces.

Public Outreach:

Build awareness of the strategic importance of Eritrea’s role in managing and controlling immigration from Africa to the West. Communicate how partnerships with Eritrea will benefit the region and mitigate security challenges.

Crisis Communication:

Be prepared to respond effectively to media inquiries or crises regarding geopolitical tensions in the Red Sea region or Eritrea’s relationships with regional powers.

Content Creation:

Manage the creation of digital content across various platforms (website, social media, newsletters) to support messaging around Eritrea’s strategic importance, economic opportunities, and Israel–Eritrea relations.

Advisory Role:

Provide counsel to leadership on public relations strategies, helping shape communication around Eritrea’s strategic alliances and Israel’s evolving role in the region.

Qualifications

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in public relations, media relations, or strategic communication, especially in international relations or geopolitical affairs.

Geopolitical Knowledge:

Deep understanding of the political, economic, and security dynamics of the Horn of Africa, Red Sea, Middle East, and Africa, particularly concerning Western interests in countering influences of China, Iran, and other regional expansionists.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create compelling narratives and manage high‑level communication effectively.

Cultural Sensitivity:

Ability to communicate and build relationships across diverse cultures, including Eritrean stakeholders and Western allies.

Innovation & Strategic Thinking:

Ability to think strategically about long‑term international relations, with an emphasis on economic development, security, and global competition.

Digital Literacy:

Proficiency in managing and creating content for digital platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters.
