Locations: Cincinnati, Ohio; New Brunswick, New Jersey. This role can sit at either location on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities Serve as MedTech Brand Manager for the Sector brand team; shape how the MedTech brand is expressed across sector, business unit, and customer-facing touchpoints to ensure a consistent, elevated look and feel that builds brand equity.
Act as brand advisor to BU brand leads and ambassadors; counsel teams on activations, milestones, and brand-critical moments.
Manage the MedTech brand mailbox, maintain brand review and approval processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to provide guidance, governance, and hands-on support to drive collaboration and brand consistency.
Balance structured processes with sound judgment and adaptability to succeed in brand governance and operations.
Support day-to-day Brand Review operations and governance: monitor inbox, triage submissions, organize review priorities, and provide timely guidance on campaign assets, program names, wordmarks, event collateral, and related materials.
Escalate complex issues to appropriate team members; partner with Brand leads to implement the MedTech brand across assets.
Maintain Brand Review SOPs, ensuring they remain practical and aligned with current business needs.
Support social media brand governance; review content and collaborate with social leads to ensure platform-appropriate brand consistency; help maintain a reusable social media template library and component toolkit.
Identify and integrate AI capabilities into brand workflows, templates, and governance to improve efficiency while maintaining brand and compliance standards.
Coordinate MedTech Brand quarterly newsletter content, layout, and distribution to inform partners of brand updates, wins, and guidance.
Support creative explorations with agency partners; help prepare briefs, coordinate timelines, and review concepts that broaden MedTech’s visual language and asset diversity.
Assist with developing new visual assets (illustrations, photography, icons) and ensure high-quality, metadata-tagged additions to the Brand Center.
Coordinate with Enterprise Brand team to implement enterprise visual identity updates and support compliant MedTech applications.
Track and report brand consistency and the effectiveness of brand tools, sharing insights and recommendations based on metrics and feedback.
Build partnerships with business units as a practical brand resource; educate stakeholders to encourage consistent execution and stronger outcomes.
Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day work and partner interactions to align with enterprise values.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in brand governance, digital brand management, marketing operations, or agency account/creative management; experience in healthcare or medical technology preferred.
Proven experience managing intake and review systems (e.g., Airtable) and handling high-volume request streams.
Ability to operate independently, prioritize work, make informed decisions, and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
Proactively anticipate risks and bottlenecks; surface issues early and propose scalable solutions.
Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements (templates, tools, workflows) that increase speed and quality without compromise.
Strong understanding of digital design systems, wireframes, UX basics, and website governance.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with partners across levels and regions.
Proficiency with collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams) and project tracking tools; basic design review (Figma, Adobe XD) is highly desirable.
Experience with enterprise brand centers, DAMs, and scalable governance programs is a plus.
Familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements in healthcare communications is a plus.
