Video Editor Intern

Overview

SurfaceMaxx is a pressure washer accessories brand — surface cleaners, foam cannons, spray guns, hoses, and nozzles — sold at Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, and online.
The Role

You’ll work with our existing footage of SurfaceMaxx products in action, find the best moments, and cut them into fast, clean, platform-native reels ready to publish. Simply put:

we have the content, we need someone to make reels with it.
Responsibilities

Turn our existing long-form and short-form footage into engaging reels
Review footage and select the strongest moments
Cut vertical (9:16) content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook
Add captions, text overlays, motion graphics, and sound design as needed
Deliver final videos ready for upload
Platforms you’ll edit for:

TikTok, Instagram, Facebook
Details

Flexible, asynchronous schedule; deliverable-based (no set hours)
Intern provides their own computer and editing software
Communication via email with occasional video check-ins
Remote or hybrid — work fully remote from anywhere in the U.S., or hybrid if local to our Akron, OH office
Time commitment:

Less than 10 hours/week
