About This Job

Namify Pre-production Designers are responsible for creating proofs of customized products. They must understand all types of customization (screen printing, embroidery, engraving, etc.) along with the restraints and requirements for each process. They work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Namify clients, and fulfillment leads. Designers should be very familiar with computers, design software, and different file types.
Responsibilities

Create digital mockups of custom branded items using customer supplied artwork.
Prepare artwork files for various production methods. (Screen print, embroidery, wide format, nametags, etc.)
Communicate with sales reps to ensure that client artwork files are suitable for production and identify opportunities to improve them.
Design banners, t-shirts, logos, and other products.
Vectorize raster logos.
Assist the Manager of Pre-production with projects and tasks.
Assist with occasional piecework/processing jobs as needed.

Requirements

Must have proper documentation for employment in the United States
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to adapt and overcome design roadblocks to produce products.
Art degree (graphic design, illustration, etc.) or an art background is highly recommended.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc).
Must be able to work in a sitting position for 6+ hours a day.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Must be able to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.
Must have great attention to detail, even with repetitive processes.
Must be able to follow instructions, both written and verbal.
Must be able to work under deadlines and quotas.
Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner.
Positive attitude - contribute to a fun working environment.
Reliable - we are a small department so every team member is vital.

Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (Full-time)
Work Space Info

This job operates in a warehouse environment which requires standing, moving, lifting, and operating machinery and computers. Personal Protection Equipment may be required. Safety training is mandatory and employees must be able to pass basic safety requirements.
Training

Training for this position will be completed by the department manager. Training will consist of education on key processes, preparation and staging requirements by customer, location of tools, supplies and materials. You will be trained on how to use the order interface, how to properly read orders and where to look for notes. Additional training will be completed as processes evolve or as required.
Safety
