Your Role Accountabilities

Edit CNN’s premier visual investigations video pieces with a team of producers, senior producers, and reporters.

Build graphic animations.

Edit both long‑form documentary pieces as well as quick‑turn, breaking‑news packages.

Collaborate with the team on scripting, story development, producing, and fact‑checking.

Employ distinctive storytelling techniques.

Utilize demonstrable technical, editorial, and creative expertise in editing, producing, design, compositing, and visual effects.

Complete assignments under production deadlines, requiring flexibility with schedule and working hours.

Qualifications & Experience

Established working experience in a professional digital or streaming news environment, including long‑form investigations and breaking news events.

Demonstrated technical and creative expertise in editing and producing, including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on After Effects and visual effects plug‑ins such as Sapphire, Boris, Red Giant, and others.

Proven track record of strong editorial judgment.

Commitment to continuous skill development on existing production platforms and training in the proficient use of emerging technology.

Collaborative with partners and peers on production projects and responsibilities such as attending team meetings, contributing to story generation, scripting, and video research.

Agile and adaptable in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.

Uphold and advance CNN’s journalistic standards, ethics, and commitment to impactful storytelling.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, film, or a related field.

Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay range: $77,840.00 – $144,560.00 per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards. Warner Bros.
