Job Responsibilities
Provides direction and instructions on the title processing of the transactions and inquiries regarding de‑titling mobile homes, salvage titles, lien processing, revocations, TI-021A applications, MCO backouts and other miscellaneous titling and registration actions from third parties via telephone, email, and/or mail for the assigned office. Tracks metrics and performance of assigned employees. Ensures processing time stays under 5 business days. Assists in the training of new employees and mentors all employees.
Oversees assigned work unit to ensure all job functions meet established standards. Manages all work related to processing titles and registrations in the Specialized Titles and Registration mail‑in office. Ensures necessary reports are generated and maintained.
Uses the DMV Phoenix system to enter, retrieve, update and provide data for customers, courts, auditor’s, treasurer’s office, insurance companies and law enforcement. Processes transactions such as issuance of salvaged titles, TI‑021As, and de‑titled mobile homes. Prepares routine correspondence.
Responsible for ensuring Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) reviews are completed by scheduled due date. Evaluates the work of employees, disciplinary actions, reviews, approves or disapproves employee leave requests and ensures adequate coverage for the work unit.
Performs other duties as required.
Also potentially has up to three Vet‑Success employees.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant program or an equivalent combination of education and experience (with prior approval).
Extensive knowledge of SCDMV titling and registration processes and procedures, including de‑titling mobile homes, salvage titles, lien processing, revocations, TI‑021A applications, MCO backouts and other miscellaneous titling and registration actions from third parties via telephone, email, and/or mail.
Ability to assist in the training of new employees and mentor all employees.
Knowledge of office management policies, practices and procedures, and ability to exercise discretion in interpreting and applying them.
Ability to plan, organize, delegate and review the work of subordinates.
Effective communication skills.
Under minimal supervision, responsible for supervising multiple work units or a complex work unit.
Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality of files and records.
Must display professional proficiency in all areas of job performance and possess good management skills.
Works in a climate‑controlled office environment.
Requires significant time spent at a computer terminal.
May occasionally be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled working hours.
Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds.
May require limited travel.
Agency Requirements
Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include fingerprinting.
