Responsibilities
Represent MSGCU in the community and at member events and business development activities. Coordinate and implement programs and initiatives designed to increase membership, services per member, and loan activity to help MSGCU achieve our strategic targets.
Support MSGCU's financial education outreach efforts and delivery of financial literacy programs to meet the needs of current and prospective members in the community.
Build and strengthen relationships with Select Employee Groups (SEGs), key influencers, and community leaders to increase awareness and familiarity with MSGCU and promote MSGCU products and services to support membership growth.
Engage with schools, businesses, community organizations, and assigned territory chambers to promote the availability of financial literacy and generate goodwill.
Establish MSGCU presence in new communities while maintaining presence in existing markets. Tactfully address competition and communicate the benefits of MSGCU’s products and services throughout the community.
Analyze and audit community engagement opportunities to provide recommendations for impactful involvement.
Plan and execute business development activities within the community. Assist in scoping, implementing, and managing various Community Relations initiatives including community sponsorships, Give Back Program, Welcome Back to School Events, branch ribbon cuttings and grand openings.
Allocate resources, define and measure objectives, track progress to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with expectations.
Review financial records, analyze outcomes, and identify improvements for future initiatives.
Identify opportunities to engage with SEGs, key influencers, and community partners within the brand footprint to coordinate schedules and facilitate financial education in classrooms, workplaces, and community settings.
Develop curriculum and prepare necessary instructional handouts for distribution at adult and high school presentations.
Maintain financial literacy and knowledge of credit union products by actively engaging in professional development to deliver reliable information to members and potential members.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Education or related field required.
At least 2 years of sales, field marketing, teaching, or community relations experience, preferably within the financial industry or a closely related field required.
1 year of project management experience preferred.
Working Conditions
Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
Required to travel throughout MSGCU’s service area most of the time. Team member must provide own transportation with eligibility for on-the-job mileage reimbursement.
Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and security procedures on an annual basis to minimize risk.
Work involves sitting most of the time with brief periods of walking or standing and frequently requires lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
Normal working hours will be MSGCU’s standard branch and administrative office hours of operation; however, periodic weekends and frequent before/after normal office hours will be required.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salaries are just the starting point for MSGCU team members. Generous health benefits, vacation time, retirement plan contributions and discounts on loans and phone service also come with the job.
Annual salary begins at $62,500
Medical, dental and vision on your first day! You can choose the most generous Health Savings Account (HSA)-eligible medical plan with no monthly premium for you (and your family).
If you are at least 21 years old, you will receive a 3% contribution from MSGCU, and a 100% match for the next 7% you contribute to your 401(k).
You will enjoy 12 paid holidays and up to 120 hours of PTO your first year of service (pro-rated based on start date).
