Copywriter

The Copywriter is responsible for developing and applying brand messaging and written content across campaigns, launches, product marketing, events, and major company initiatives. The role focuses on writing clear, compelling, and consistent copy across a wide range of brand and marketing surfaces. In partnership with Design, Product, Marketing, and external partners, this role helps shape how Replit communicates across channels while contributing to the ongoing development of the brand voice. This role reports to the Brand & Creative Lead.
Responsibilities

Write copy across campaigns, launches, social content, web, presentations, product marketing, and brand initiatives

Apply the Replit voice and messaging consistently across multiple touchpoints and formats

Support the development of messaging frameworks, naming, and campaign language

Collaborate closely with Designers, Producers, Marketing, Product, and cross-functional teams to develop integrated creative work

Contribute to concept development and creative ideation across campaigns and launches

Write and refine copy across short-form and long-form formats

Support the creation and maintenance of internal messaging and brand documentation

Review and refine copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality

Partner with external agencies and freelancers as needed

Contribute hands-on writing support across high-visibility company initiatives

Requirements

3–5+ years of experience in copywriting, brand writing, or creative writing roles at an agency, studio, in-house team, or equivalent environment

Strong portfolio demonstrating writing across campaigns, brand, marketing, and digital experiences

Strong understanding of voice, tone, messaging, and storytelling

Ability to write clearly and concisely across a wide range of formats and channels

Strong collaboration skills across creative and cross-functional teams

Strong attention to detail and consistency in language

Ability to balance conceptual thinking with execution

Experience working within fast-moving creative environments

Familiarity with product, technology, or startup environments is a plus

This is a full-time role that can be held from our Foster City, CA office. The role has an in-office requirement of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
