Part-time Adjunct for Environmental Communication

Overview

Evergreen’s Graduate Program on the Environment, which awards the Master of Environmental Studies (MES) degree, seeks a faculty colleague to teach the elective “Environmental Communication” in Fall 2026. This is a one‑quarter part‑time adjunct faculty position dedicated to graduate students, teaching a 4‑credit MES elective in the evening (one night/week, Monday OR Wednesday).
Responsibilities

Lectures, workshops, seminar facilitation, and evaluation of student work.
Teach techniques of mass communication and scientific writing.
Provide a Zoom link for each class session for students that need to be remote‑only.
Optionally conduct hands‑on workshops in campus facilities (e.g., media studios) in person and possibly on weekends or outside of class.
Teaching mode

Hi‑flex: the faculty will be in person with students in a classroom, and a Zoom link will be offered for each class session for students that need to be remote‑only.
