Hours: 8am-4pm Monday-Friday w/ occasional Saturdays
Compensation: $25 - $28
Travel: Minimal (1-10%)

What You'll Do

As our next Dispatcher, you'll be at the heart of our mission—delivering essential services that help improve public safety, enhance environmental quality, and keep things running smoothly. You'll join a team that values hard work, safety, and showing up for one another.
Your Daily Impact

The job responsibilities below outline the core duties and expectations of a position, providing clarity on how the role supports Company goals. Monitor logs for errors, violations, and working hours.
Flag potential weather-related issues for drivers.
Ensure drivers follow DOT regulations for safe operations.
Analyze efficient routes to meet customer needs cost-effectively.
Review daily orders to deploy resources.
Track progress, process orders, and address concerns.
Monitor equipment availability for daily operations.
Review completed services to ensure accuracy.
Provide records to support invoicing.
Utilize Excel and routing software for scheduling and verification.
Answer calls and dispatch instructions as needed.
Communicate progress and resolve driver issues.
Maintain all operational and compliance records.
Use judgment and escalate issues when necessary.
Identify ways to optimize routing and service delivery.
The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times.
Minimum Job Requirements

Minimum job qualifications define the essential skills, experience, and abilities needed to succeed in the role. They set the baseline for hiring but may evolve as the job and business requirements change:
High School or GED
1-2 years dispatch experience – waste & recycling services experience preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must successfully pass background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.

Ability to coordinate routes, schedules, and resources efficiently to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.

Ability to quickly assess situations, manage unexpected changes (e.g., delays, equipment issues, weather), and make sound decisions under pressure.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for long periods while managing schedules and communications.
Maintain focus and attention to detail while monitoring routes and coordinating drivers.
Operate computer, keyboard, phone, and routing software efficiently.
Follow safety procedures when communicating with drivers or handling work order issues.
