The role

We're hiring a mid-level copywriter to own the words across a sports and athlete-driven brand. This is a net-new seat, so you'll help shape it. One day you're scripting a short video featuring a student athlete, the next you're writing a landing page, a paid ad, or a customer story that actually makes people feel something. You'll write for everything from banners and emails to direct mail, OOH, and print, including a few international launches.

You think in concepts, not just captions. You can walk into a room, pitch an idea, and defend the reasoning behind it. You also love the craft enough to execute it yourself. If you've been an ACD or CD, great, but this role is hands on keyboard, not hands in pockets.

What you'll write

Short-form video scripts featuring student athletes
Customer story narratives that land emotionally
Landing pages, paid ads, emails, banners
Direct mail, OOH, and print
Copy for a few international launches, with country-level nuance
You won't be doing product release copy or influencer work, and experiential lives with a separate team (though you may get pulled in to consult).

What we're looking for

A mix of in-house and agency experience
A declarative, sharp writing style with real hooks. You know how to make someone stop and click.
Genuine sports interest and experience. This is a must-have, not a nice-to-have.
Range: you can talk to Gen Z and millennials one minute and speak to an enterprise or CFO-level audience the next
A growth and acquisition mindset. You care about clicks, engagement, and what's actually working.
Comedy writing chops are a big plus, and Reddit posts or Reddit ad experience is a major one
Bonus points if you've written social that's gone viral
