Election Deputy Director III

An Election Deputy Director III assists the Election Director in conducting elections and overseeing day‑to‑day operations of a local election office in Baltimore County, including voter registration, absentee balloting, polling place coordination, and election judge recruitment and training. The role supervises office support staff and may require evening, weekend, and statewide travel. This is a Grade SBE 15 supervisory position that acts for the Election Director in their absence.
Key qualifications

Four years of experience applying federal, state, and local election laws with at least one presidential or gubernatorial election, plus four years of supervisory or management experience
Bachelor's degree may substitute for two years of required election law experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing or supervising 25+ staff
Project management experience
Budget development and fiscal management experience
