JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL FUNCTION
The Transitions Shields team member is responsible for performing the entire production of shields/visors/googles, etc. This includes all aspects from substrate incoming through final production, inspection, packaging and shipping of the final product to the customer. You will work closely with other team members to perform routine and repetitive production operations in order to meet yield and completion requirements to meet the needs of the customers. In addition, you must be flexible to perform other supportive tasks such as auditing, training, loading and unloading trucks, substrate pulling and prepping and trouble shooting.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for reading and following standard operating procedures, rotate to all stations of the line, cleaning and housekeeping of both machines as well as work areas to minimize contaminants and provide a safe working environment. You will participate in process improvement, problem solving or other supporting activities. You will be operating basic machinery and performing basic mathematical calculations. Required to meet productivity and quality standards. Auditing substrate and finished and occasionally be handling and changing chemicals along with basic mixing of coating. Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including eye protection, hearing protection and foot protection in specified areas. Incumbents will wear appropriate garments which adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in clean rooms or other areas as required. Might be required to work staggered hours, and/or be flexible with your work hours to accommodate potential changing production needs based upon changing customer requirements. Report to work on time and adhere to schedules and policies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A steady hand for the manual coating and polishing processes Excellent visual/inspection and organizational skills Teamwork oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills, a proven ability to get along with others Positive attitude with ability to work collaboratively with team members and leaders Ability to stand or walk for 8 – 10 hours with the ability to work in a fast- paced continuous flow operation Ability to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures Must be flexible, open minded & self-motivated The ability and willingness to work staggered work hours and to work overtime if needed. Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised Must be able to work around & handle chemicals Ability to operate production machinery, basic computer skills and strong attention to detail Will be required to pass various certifications and train others. High School graduate or equivalent.

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
