About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Content Protection and Anti-Piracy to spearhead the global strategy for safeguarding its extensive anime library and the intellectual property that underpins its business. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and leading the company's approach to combat digital piracy and ensure secure global distribution. This role involves establishing a long-term vision, operating model, and technology roadmap, as well as managing strategic partnerships to stay ahead of evolving threats. The VP will also be tasked with advising executive leadership on piracy trends, enterprise risk, and regulatory developments, and will oversee the day-to-day anti-piracy operations.
Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in content protection, anti-piracy, digital rights management, or related fields, with a strong background in global streaming, media, or entertainment. The role requires a deep understanding of global copyright law, DMCA processes, and the online piracy ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading global teams, managing external vendors, and building strategic relationships. Experience with industry enforcement platforms and technologies is essential, as is the ability to communicate complex legal and technical concepts effectively. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for advanced degrees or certifications.
