Role Summary
The Marketing Manager is the property’s marketing leader responsible for the resort marketing strategy, budget, and the execution of initiatives that drive revenue, RevPOG, and GOP. The role partners with hotel leadership, Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, Finance, and Hyatt teams to deliver measurable commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
Property Marketing Strategy & Commercial Execution: Develop, maintain, and execute the property marketing plan and budget in alignment with Miraval America’s commercial strategy and the resort’s business goals. Own the marketing calendar, coordinate campaigns, promotions, guest events, loyalty initiatives, local partnerships, PR needs, email activity, and on‑property communications. Translate performance, pacing, demand trends, and guest insights into clear marketing actions.
Brand, Content & Creative Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for marketing content, creative requests, photography, video, collateral, digital assets, and on‑property guest communications. Manage intake, prioritization, timeline tracking, stakeholder review, and delivery of creative requests in partnership with brand leadership, agencies, and vendors. Execute printed and electronic marketing materials and maintain brand assets inventory.
Digital, Website, CRM & Social Media Execution: Monitor property website accuracy, update content, manage CRM campaigns, and lead the monthly social media content plan. Collaborate with digital marketing teams to support paid media, local digital campaigns, audience inputs, and post‑campaign reporting. Use performance insights to recommend improvements to messaging and channel support.
PR, Media Visits, Partnerships & Community Relations: Support property‑level public relations, media relations, influencer visits, community relationships, marketing events, and local activations. Coordinate site visits, manage itineraries and press kits, and represent the property’s marketing perspective in planning conversations.
Operational Support, Budget Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects, oversee marketing invoices, budget tracking, vendor timelines, and month‑end reconciliations. Provide marketing support to Culinary, Spa, Sales, Retail, Programs, and Operations. Provide clear updates on marketing priorities and campaign status.
Qualifications
3–5+ years of marketing, brand, content, hospitality, travel, or wellness marketing experience, with hands‑on execution of local market initiatives.
3–4 years of copywriting, social media content management, or related professional writing experience.
3–4 years of marketing experience across social media, email, website, public relations, and campaign coordination.
Experience managing WordPress or similar content management platforms.
Strong understanding of social media analytics tools and ability to optimize strategies.
Experience in hospitality, wellness, spa, luxury brand, or travel marketing.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, Journalism, or related field (associate degree or equivalent experience considered).
Proficiency in working with cross‑functional teams, agencies, vendors, and external partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting, proofreading, editing, storytelling, and brand consistency.
Exceptional organization, planning, prioritization, project management, and attention to detail.
Strong creative judgment and ability to produce cutting‑edge digital and guest‑facing content.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Passion for wellness, hospitality, storytelling, guest experience, and luxury brand standards.
Success Metrics
Hotel total revenue, RevPOG, and GOP as primary performance indicators.
Contribution of marketing to demand generation, package production, spa and ancillary focus, website traffic, digital engagement, inquiries, and direct bookings.
Timely and accurate execution of marketing plans, creative requests, calendars, CRM campaigns, and content updates.
Quality and consistency of brand expression across all marketing channels.
Effectiveness of cross‑functional collaboration with internal and external partners.
Improved visibility, accountability, and reporting discipline for marketing priorities.
Reduced administrative burden for property leaders through stronger coordination and asset management.
Organizational Impact
The Marketing Manager ensures Miraval Austin is represented with accurate, beautiful, and commercially effective marketing, driving hotel performance, guest engagement, brand consistency, and local market relevance.
