Support the Full‑Time Staff of the Office of Spiritual Development Support the full‑time staff of the Office of Spiritual Development by completing professional administrative tasks to enhance and fulfill the department outcomes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Create content and manage LU Shepherd social media platforms, including planning, developing, scheduling, and posting innovative and engaging content aligned with brand standards. Be available outside of normal office hours to attend, promote, and cover events for LU Shepherd, taking pictures and videos as needed. Work with the Director of Operations and Administrative Assistant to create a digital marketing plan and social media strategy for LU Shepherd. Create and maintain a social media calendar to ensure content delivery in a timely manner. Collaborate and assist with social media needs within the team and/or various departments. Assist the Administrative Assistant with various office tasks and other administrative duties. Utilize Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. Assist with logistic planning and execution of LU Shepherd events. Assist with tracking engagement metrics for digital campaigns and reporting outcomes. Schedule requires the student worker to commit 18‑20 hours/week.
Qualifications and Credentials Current on all CSER credits
Microsoft Office knowledge and experience

Abilities and Competencies Essential to the Function of the Job Communication and Comprehension : Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well‑articulated information. Understand, speak, and write English to correspond in an articulate and professional manner. Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates. Strong organizational skills. Computer skills, especially Microsoft Office; ability to learn new skills quickly.
Problem Solving : Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Physical and Sensory Abilities : Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard. Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building. Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business. Regularly lift 25 or fewer pounds.
Working Conditions Work Environment : The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate‑controlled office setting. It is well lighted, and the noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements : If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee's position.

Pay Rate : Starting at $12.77. Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage per hour. Pay may vary by position and department based on job responsibilities, required skills, available funding, and market conditions.
