Responsibilities

Direct newscasts, special programs, breaking news, live sports, and severe weather.
Provide quality‑control support to network and local programming.
Operate Ross Overdrive, Chyron graphics, and Bitcentral playout; monitor on‑air signals, transmitters, FCC logs; ingest daily programming and commercials; monitor Crispin automation playlist.
Monitor all broadcast streams for WOIO, WUAB, WTCL & WOHZ.
Master control operation of live sporting events.
Operate Ross Overdrive & Ross Acuity Switcher, Chyron graphics, and Bitcentral playout.
Technical direct live newscasts including breaking news, weather, specials, and sports.
Work daily with the ENPS newsroom computer system.
Operate master control Crispin Automation with a Harmonic Video Server—ingest & QC programs, satellite operations, and automation control.
Operate between multiple control rooms with consistent performance and effective communication.
Perform all master control needs, including media management, automation playout, and quality‑control.
Communicate effectively with newsroom personnel and handle changing situations.
Adhere to all FCC procedures and requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Experience with Ross Overdrive, Chyron, Bitcentral, Crispin automation, and ENPS.
Master control experience with Crispin or any automation preferred.
Flexibility with scheduling and job assignments.
Computer experience and willingness to learn.
Experience in master control and/or newscast directing preferred.
Dependable, detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure with strict deadlines; strong multitasking skills.
Strong communication and self‑starter ability.
Ability to adapt quickly to instant changes in newscasts and modify pre‑planned scripting (Overdrive).
