Role Overview

The Sales Marketing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of integrated demand generation campaigns that support pipeline growth for the company’s sponsorship, exhibitor, and marketing services sales teams. This role plays a critical part in supporting revenue generation by executing targeted, data‑driven marketing programs designed to engage prospective clients and generate qualified leads.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Audience Marketing & Marketing Operations, this role works closely with sales, marketing operations, and content teams to ensure campaigns are launched on time, optimized for performance, and aligned with overall commercial objectives.

Job Description

The Sales Marketing Manager executes demand generation efforts to support revenue growth across two key areas: event sponsorships/exhibitors and marketing services (including lead generation programs, webinars, and custom content solutions).

This role is highly execution-focused, requiring strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Working across email, digital, content marketing, webinars, and partnerships, the Sales Marketing Manager executes and optimizes campaigns using marketing automation and AI‑driven tools to improve targeting, personalize messaging, and drive performance.

This role also requires strong copywriting skills and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally to develop and deploy engaging, conversion‑focused marketing content aligned with sales objectives.

Success in this role will be defined by the ability to execute campaigns effectively, contribute to pipeline generation goals, and support sales growth across multiple business lines.

Key Responsibilities
Execute Integrated Demand Generation Campaigns

Support the development and execution of multi‑channel marketing campaigns across email, webinars, content marketing, paid media, and digital channels to generate leads and pipeline for:

Event sponsorship and exhibitor sales

Marketing services offerings, including lead generation programs, webinars, and custom content

Manage Day‑to‑Day Campaign Operations

Own the day‑to‑day execution of marketing plans, including campaign setup, scheduling, QA, deployment, reporting, and ongoing optimization.

Leverage Marketing Automation and AI Tools

Build, segment, and manage target prospect lists

Personalize campaign messaging at scale

Automate workflows and nurture campaigns

Improve targeting and campaign effectiveness through data analysis and optimization

Develop High‑Impact Marketing Copy

Email campaigns and nurture flows

Webinar promotions and registration pages

Digital advertising and promotional campaigns

Sales enablement and marketing collateral

Ensure messaging is audience‑centric, aligned with brand standards, and optimized for engagement and lead conversion.

Support Lead Funnel Performance and Reporting

Monitor campaign performance against KPIs, providing regular updates and insights to leadership and sales stakeholders. Make data‑driven recommendations to improve lead quality, engagement, and conversion rates.

Collaborate with Sales Teams

Partner closely with sponsorship, exhibitor, and marketing services sales teams to align marketing campaigns with pipeline priorities, target accounts, and revenue goals.

Support Account‑Based Marketing (ABM) Initiatives

Assist with the execution of targeted marketing efforts focused on high‑value accounts and strategic prospects.

Coordinate Marketing Asset Development

Work with design and content teams to develop and deploy campaign assets, including emails, landing pages, webinar materials, digital ads, and promotional content.

Collaborate Cross‑Functionally

Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Content, and Marketing Operations teams to ensure alignment across messaging, timelines, campaign execution, and reporting.

Experience leveraging AI‑based marketing tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) for content generation, segmentation, personalization, and campaign optimization

Familiarity with digital marketing channels including email, webinars, paid media, and content marketing

Ability to QA campaigns and ensure accuracy across all deliverables

Understanding of audience targeting, lead management, and campaign workflows

Additional Skills and Responsibilities

Ability to test, learn, and optimize marketing approaches using data and technology

Strong understanding of how messaging and content impact lead generation performance

Comfortable adopting new tools and technologies to improve marketing outcomes

Relevant Experience

3–5 years of experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, or sales marketing

Proven track record of generating leads and pipeline for sales teams

Experience supporting sales for events, sponsorships, or marketing services is highly preferred

Experience managing integrated, multi‑channel campaigns

Familiarity with lead lifecycle management and funnel optimization

Experience working in a fast‑paced, revenue‑driven environment
