REPORTS TO: Director of Communications and Marketing

SUPERVISES: Marketing Coordinator, Contractors, Volunteers, Interns

JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing Manager is responsible for bringing YOSA's mission to life by producing high-quality video, photography, graphics, written communications, social media, and public relations content that connects with musicians, families, donors, alumni, media partners, and the broader San Antonio community.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Design & Brand Management

Design digital and print marketing materials including social graphics, flyers, event signage, advertisements, presentations, program books, press materials, emails, and promotional materials.

Ensure all creative assets maintain consistency with YOSA's visual identity, messaging, and brand standards and organizational voice.

Create templates and creative systems that improve efficiency and consistency across marketing materials.

Manage and maintain YOSA's website content, ensuring information is accurate, current, visually engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Content Creation & Storytelling

Capture compelling photo and video content that showcases YOSA's impact, mission, performances, educational programs, alumni, community partnerships, and organizational milestones.

Produce and edit engaging multimedia content including short-form and long-form videos, graphics, and digital assets for multiple platforms and audiences.

Interview musicians, families, alumni, conductors, donors, board members, staff, and community partners to tell authentic YOSA stories.

Repurpose existing content into new formats to maximize reach and engagement.

Support YOSA's public relations efforts by assisting with media list management, press releases, media advisories, press kits, interviews, and media events.

Monitor local media coverage and identify opportunities to pitch stories that increase awareness of YOSA's mission and programs.

Manage YOSA's email marketing program, including campaign creation, scheduling, audience segmentation, automation, and performance reporting.

Social Media Management

Manage YOSA's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

Plan and maintain a strategic content calendar aligned with organizational priorities and marketing campaigns.

Write engaging copy that reflects YOSA's voice and brand.

Monitor engagement, participate in conversations, and build relationships with followers and community partners.

Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, memes, and best practices to keep YOSA's content fresh and relevant.

Track content performance and recommend opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with Student Experience, Development, Artistic, and Executive teams to support organizational initiatives.

Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns for concerts, enrollment, fundraising, special events, and anniversary initiatives.

Support merchandise design and concert tabling as needed.

Assist with additional marketing and communications projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

3-5 years of professional experience creating digital content, preferably for a nonprofit, arts organization, educational institution, or agency.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and After Effects.

Strong photography and video production skills.

Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with youth, families, donors, volunteers, and community partners.

Occasional evenings and Sunday rehearsals are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Creative and proactive, bringing fresh ideas and independently identifying opportunities that showcase YOSA's impact.

Eager to learn, continuously develop new creative, technical, and storytelling skills.

Collaborative and team-oriented, building strong relationships across departments while contributing to a positive, mission-driven culture.

Experience as a musician or familiarity with the performing arts is a plus.

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Compensation
Salary range is $48,000-52,000. Excellent employee benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement, sick/vacation leave.
