As a Thrive Program Coordinator with OMES, you will coordinate health and wellness initiatives for state employees, managing programs, communications and volunteer payroll deduction activities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position works primarily from a comfortable office setting with a computer. It requires occasional travel, work outside in the elements, evening and weekend hours, and exposure to mild noise levels.
Responsibilities

Conduct surveys on the needs and interest of the state employee population regarding health and wellness
Develop and evaluate new programming for state employees that promotes health and wellness
Manage daily Thrive activities including developing newsletter content, podcasts, and social media content
Develop, coordinate, and promote recreation leagues and programs
Manage the Volunteer Payroll Deduction (VPD) program
Coordinate and promote the annual VPD health expo
Partner with individual agencies to provide consultations and presentations on health and wellness
Promote Thrive programs through attendance at statewide and regional health expos
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
Two years of Health Promotion/Wellness experience, including creating, developing and delivering health education materials (preferred)
Preference for candidates with a Master’s degree in a related field
Preference for candidates with a Wellness Certification (CHES, CWWS, CWWPM, CCWS, or CWPC)
Compensation

Salary up to $55,000 based on education and experience.
