Marketing Manager

G&A Strategy and Design · New York, NY, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

Twenty-seven years, 850+ projects, and some of the most significant cultural institutions in the
world — that's the story so far. This role exists to make sure we write the next chapter — growing G&A's business by growing its reputation, through sharper positioning, bolder storytelling, and a market presence that matches the ambition of the work. You won't just market what we've built.
You’ll help build what we want to become. Our work, our thought leadership, our presence in the spaces we shape — all of it in service of one mission: to reimagine destination experiences for the next generation of modern cultural attractions.
The Role
This is a hands‑on leadership role: someone who can set the strategy and then execute it, across paid, earned, and owned channels alike. At G&A, that means building the firm's presence across the markets we already work in — US and EMEA — while expanding into new categories and audiences. Part of what makes G&A distinct is that we don't just conceive ambitious ideas — we see them through to execution, and stay on to run and operate what we've built. That range, from ambition through to operation, is exactly what this role needs to communicate to the world. You'll drive engagement, expand reach, and support a growing pipeline of qualified leads across every channel.
You’ll report directly to the CCO, with real ownership over how G&A is seen — and the mandate to build the team, systems, and partners that let that presence grow as fast as the firm does.
What You’ll Do
Set the Position
Define and execute G&A's marketing strategy in close partnership with the CCO
Protect and evolve the G&A brand across every touchpoint — confident, considered, never loud
Keep voice, tone, and visual identity consistent across US and EMEA and every category we expand into
Tell the Story
Lead the creation of G&A's case studies, thought leadership, campaign narratives, and client‑facing content
Translate sophisticated, complex work into stories that land with people outside the industry
Find the editorial angle in our work and our people worth telling — before someone else tells it first
Drive the Channels
Plan and execute integrated campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels
Own G&A's presence on LinkedIn and other relevant platforms — deliberate, never reactive
Drive engagement and expand reach, and read performance against real signal, not vanity metrics
Build and support a growing pipeline of qualified leads
Earn the Recognition
Drive PR, press outreach, and media relationships that build credibility with the people who matter
Treat awards and industry recognition as strategy, not an annual scramble
Position G&A's leaders as visible, credible voices in cultural and experience design
Manage external partners and freelancers, and build the internal team as the function scales
What You Bring
8–10+ years in a senior marketing role, ideally inside a notable creative, branding, or marketing agency
Experience marketing professional services, creative work, or complex offerings —someone equally comfortable setting direction and doing the work
A track record of owning marketing end‑to‑end: strategy, execution, and the ongoing run of the function
Experience across paid, earned, and owned channels, with the range to move fluidly between them
Experience managing a team and external partners or agencies
Excellent writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment
What Success Looks Like
A market presence that matches the ambition of the work
Measurable growth in engagement, reach, and qualified pipeline across US and EMEA
G&A recognized as a leading voice — not just a leading builder — in cultural and experience design
Sustained growth in brand equity, measured in years, not quarters
Why G&A For 27 years, G&A has built destination experiences for the world's most significant cultural institutions and brands alike — 850+ projects, 250+ awards, work spanning 12+ countries, including three of the top five Best New Museums in America in 2026. The range runs from the Smithsonian and the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center to global brands like Toyota and Coca‑Cola.
