Front-End Developer

We are seeking a Front-End Developer to contribute to a significant modernization effort. This role will be instrumental in building out a new UX plan and a reusable component library from the ground up. The ideal candidate will work closely with a UX designer to translate design concepts into high-quality, scalable front-end solutions and help establish best practices for future development.
Key Responsibilities
Implement user interface designs provided by the UX designer, ensuring intended interactions and layout are accurately reflected.
Partner with the UX designer, product owners, and other developers to translate design concepts into front-end solutions.
Build and maintain reusable React components that support consistency across applications.
Contribute to the development of a shared component library to accelerate development.
Implement responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces that meet modern usability standards.
Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to ensure features are delivered effectively.
Provide input on design feasibility, technical constraints, and implementation trade-offs.
Support iterative design and development by refining implementations based on feedback and testing.
Assist in establishing and applying front-end development standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of front-end development experience with React.
Previous experience working directly with a designer to implement user interface designs from wireframes or mockups into production-ready code.
Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
Experience building reusable components and contributing to a component-based architecture.
Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.
Experience collaborating with UX designers, product owners, and developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Ability to work independently while supporting multiple applications and priorities.
Candidates must reside within 100 miles of Kansas City.
