What You’ll Be Doing (The Meat & Potatoes)

Commanding the Room: Leading high-stakes commercial real estate litigation—think $200M+ acquisitions, intricate financing battles, and complex title disputes.
Full Lifecycle Ownership: Managing high-value cases from inception through trial. You own your strategy.
Bridging the Gap: Partnering with the transactional real estate group to untangle disputes that require a deep, sophisticated understanding of underlying property law.
Building an Empire: Cultivating client relationships with full firm backing to grow your own book of business.

Who You Are (The Reality Check)

A Generalist of Property Law: You aren’t a one-trick pony. You’ve touched acquisitions, finance, and title issues. (Residential-only or small-fry eviction experience won’t cut it here).
Substantively Deep: If I ask you about the nuance of a motion you wrote three years ago, you can talk about it with passion, not deflection.
A Precision Wordsmith: You have an active CA Bar membership and a pristine writing sample. Typos are your kryptonite.
A Collaborative Leader: You actually like mentoring junior associates and bouncing ideas off brilliant peers.

The Perks & Numbers

Guaranteed Base: $300,000 – $400,000 (depending on your level of brilliance).
Real Upside: A transparent, mathematical bonus formula that rewards business origination. Non-equity partners here regularly clear mid-$400ks to $500k+.
The Path: A genuine, politics-free ladder to full Equity Partnership ($1M+).
The Extras: Firm-paid bar fees, cell phone allowance, 401(k), laptop, and a very generous marketing budget to help you wine and dine clients.
