The Position
The Senior Marketing for Pipeline Strategy, Cardiometabolic Manager, plays a pivotal role in supporting the development of commercial strategy for early-stage pharmaceutical products in NN’s cardiometabolic pipeline (programs in Phase 2 and 3). This role focuses on championing alignment across functions, collaborating closely with the clinical‑medical‑regulatory and market access teams, establishing early commercialization strategies to maximise product potential. This role helps facilitate pull‑through and continuity of knowledge from clinical development and early strategy phases to commercialization efforts to brand teams when the launch planning process starts. It is essential to maximise asset value, drive early brand and GTM strategies. This role serves as a commercial point of contact for global commercial asset team prior to the start of the launch planning process, supporting early asset and early commercialization strategies and early market development activities.

Relationships
Reports to the Senior Director Marketing, Future Portfolio & Pipeline Strategy, Cardiometabolics. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams across NNI and Global, including marketing, medical, R&D, regulatory affairs, finance, Market Access, policy, product supply, forecasting, and other relevant NNI departments to ensure holistic strategy development and readiness for Governance interactions. This role facilitates the successful pull‑through of clinical insights, patient profiles, and strategic considerations into commercialization efforts as we start the launch process. This role may also serve as a liaison with global teams.

Essential Functions

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Planning: Help the Sr Dir to foster early strategic alignment across cross‑functional teams including marketing, market access, and medical teams and to ensure a cohesive approach to early product commercialization. Collaborate with global commercial teams and ensure input to asset planning across other key NNI stakeholders

Early Commercialisation Strategy: Contribute to early commercialisation strategy development to maximise asset value and market penetration, leveraging global products and insights, insights from clinical trials, and market research. Collaborate with marketing, market access, and medical affairs teams to develop early brand positioning, priority customer segments, messaging, and go‑to‑market strategies and input into evidence generation plans before the product is transitioned to the launch team

Market Assessment and Opportunity Analysis: Assist completion of thorough market assessments and opportunity analyses to identify target patient populations, unmet needs, and competitive positioning strategies

Target Product Profile (TPP) Development Support: Provide support for clinical trial strategy, regulatory development, and the development of Target Product Profiles (TPPs) to ensure alignment with commercialisation goals. Gather input from clinical and regulatory teams to understand clinical data / patient outcomes, identify market opportunities, address regulatory requirements, and help to shape product development strategies

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure early commercialisation strategies comply with regulatory guidelines and industry standards, working closely with regulatory affairs teams to address any compliance‑related issues

Commercialisation Transition: Support facilitation of the smooth transition of products from clinical development into commercialisation at the time the launch planning process begins. Ensure continuity of market research and therapy area knowledge, decision processes, and early strategy from early development phases to commercialisation efforts, maintaining alignment with overarching brand strategies

Knowledge Transfer and Pull‑Through: Assist in facilitating knowledge transfer between early commercial and marketing brand/therapy area teams, ensuring key insights, learnings, and strategic considerations are effectively communicated and incorporated into commercialisation plans. Work with cross‑functional teams to pull through clinical insights, patient profiles, and early competitive positioning strategies into launch commercialisation efforts to maximise product potential

Project Management and Coordination Support: Assist project management efforts to coordinate transition between clinical development and commercialisation teams, ensuring milestones are met. Identify and flag potential risks or challenges during the transition process, proactively addressing issues to minimise disruptions and ensure continuity of product development efforts

Continuous Improvement and Optimisation: Aid continuous improvement initiatives to optimise the product transition process, implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency

Physical Requirements
Approximately 20‑30% overnight travel.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience, including product marketing, product management, or market research / insights & analytics within the pharmaceutical industry

Demonstrated success in early commercial planning, launching, and managing products

Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and experience interacting with regulatory agencies

Proven knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including competitive market dynamics and trends, especially within diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, renal diseases, and liver diseases preferred

Strategic mindset with ability to develop and execute innovative commercial strategies aligned with NNI objectives and market opportunities

Strong planning and organisational skills with high attention to detail and proven track record of results and follow up

Ability to manage complexity, including the management of work across competing priorities

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organisation

Project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders

Embodies leadership behaviours, including authenticity, servant leadership, will, empathy, decisiveness, and driving focus and simplicity

Compensation and Benefits
The base compensation range for this position is $120,300 to $222,600. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. Novo Nordisk offers long‑term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
