Job Description

This position will use a blend of communication and marketing expertise and a strategic mindset to oversee and optimize coordinated communication at Idaho State University. Utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the university's newly initiated digital communication and email marketing platform, responsibilities include: coordinating and providing guidance on digital communications, marketing and organizational strategy across teams and departments; assisting with internal and external communications campaigns; utilizing SFMC to contribute to ISU's overall growth and efficiency; reviewing metrics and analytics; and working with Information Technology Services to support Salesforce.
This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.
Key Responsibilities

Create and adjust email communication content, deploy messages, and segment audiences to achieve objectives; ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and campus partners on campaign execution and content alignment to design and execute marketing campaigns and communication plans using platform tools and functionalities.
Monitor campaign performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing campaign metrics, identifying trends, and presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Develop or enhance understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionality to create email templates, design personalized journeys, set up triggered and automated campaigns, and optimize campaign performance through A/B testing.
Collaborate with Application Administrator to facilitate the following: Data integrity; user accounts; permissions, roles; data extensions; automate workflows; platform customization; troubleshoot technical issues; provide technical support to end users; manage interfaces/APIs between Marketing Cloud and other systems; write AMPScript, create tables, and manage data.
Key Responsibilities Within One Year:

Coordinate with unit leadership and marketing and communications professionals to expand the utilization of SFMC across campus units to meet the University's marketing, internal and external communication objectives:
Recruitment marketing to drive student enrollment
Communications to enhance engagement and retention
Supporting internal and external communications strategies to deliver impactful messaging to multi-faceted audiences
Integrate university unit communication strategies into SFMC, aligning unit communication plans with university-level communication plans in the Offices of Marketing and Communications, Student Affairs, and Admissions.
Develop training materials, conduct workshops, and document best practices to train end-users on the platform's features and capabilities.
Monitor campaign performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing campaign metrics, identifying trends, and presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or a related field
At least one (1) year experience creating internal and external communications for multi-faceted audiences
Professional experience using Salesforce or similar systems to develop and implement communication or marketing strategies for an organization
Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop objectives and implement tactics to accomplish an organization's strategic goals
Preferred Qualifications

At least two years experience or related certification/s using Salesforce systems to develop and implement communication or marketing strategies for an organization
Experience in higher education marketing and communications
Experience training and transferring complex information to others in individual and group settings

Salary will be between $55,000 - $60,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
