Social Media + Communications Coordinator
CONTRA-TIEMPO Activist Dance Theater
Los Angeles, CA

The Social Media + Communications Coordinator is a critical role at the intersection of community organizing and communications. CONTRA‑TIEMPO’s marketing is an organizing practice rooted in relationship, trust, and shared investment in our mission. While driving ticket sales, donations, and audience growth are central outcomes of this role, the method is relational: connecting with communities, mobilizing participation, and ensuring people who engage with CONTRA‑TIEMPO feel a sense of belonging and ownership in the work.

This person will support the implementation of campaigns to create and sustain an engaged and loyal fan base across multiple social platforms—including Facebook, Instagram, website, CRM (NEON), etc.—to ensure that CONTRA‑TIEMPO’s brand, identity, and mission are communicated regularly, powerfully, and effectively with the objective of growing our reach, deepening community ties, and sustaining financial health. They bring both analytical skills to track and report on growth and organizing instincts to ask not just how many people are showing up—but who, why, and how do we bring more of our people in. This role is highly collaborative and will work across the organization with multiple stakeholders. This position plays a large role in our organization’s overall communications strategy and in building participation for our programming.
