Director of Design

A growing, design-led architecture practice is seeking an experienced Director of Design to lead the creative direction of its residential studio in Los Angeles.
This is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious business at a pivotal stage of its growth, taking ownership of the design vision across a portfolio of high-end custom homes and residential rebuilds. Working closely with the Managing Principal, you\'ll play a key role in shaping the studio\'s culture, mentoring architects and designers, and ensuring exceptional design quality from concept through construction.
You'll lead client presentations, establish design standards, review project milestones and provide direction to Project Architects and Project Managers, helping deliver beautifully crafted homes while building a collaborative, high-performing design team.
California Registered Architect
15+ years\' architectural experience
Strong background in high-end residential architecture
Proven experience leading design teams and mentoring staff
Excellent client-facing and presentation skills
Strong understanding of Revit workflows, construction documentation and residential delivery
Authorized to work in the US
