About William Henry
At William Henry, we don’t just create objects—we sculpt legacies. We are an elevated, American luxury brand dedicated to crafting functional works of art, from hand‑forged Damascus steel pocket knives and kitchen cutlery to high‑end men’s jewelry, watches, and lifestyle accessories. Our pieces are born from a fusion of ancient metalworking, exotic or storied materials (like fossilized mammoth bone and meteorites), and modern precision science. Every item we build tells a story of enduring beauty, tradition, and soul.
Photographer & Videographer
We are seeking a visually driven, high‑caliber Photographer & Videographer who can capture the raw soul of our craftsmanship and translate it into captivating digital storytelling.
The Role: Elevate Our Visual Legacy
As our Photographer & Videographer, you will hold a pivotal role in driving online sales and expanding our global brand awareness. This isn’t just about pointing a camera; it's about mastering lighting, texture, and macro details to bring reflective metals, rare gemstones, and unique wood grains to life.
You will blend high‑end cinematic aesthetics with a social‑first mindset, producing everything from premium website assets and paid ad campaigns to fast‑paced, thumb‑stopping short‑form vertical video (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Produce luxury‑focused photography and video content optimized for our website, emails, paid ads, and social channels.
Shoot stunning product photography with strict attention to fine details, lighting, and complex textures.
Script, shoot, and edit high‑engagement short‑form vertical video content.
Capture behind‑the‑scenes magic in our workshop, spotlighting our craftsmanship, heritage processes, and production journey.
Assist with shot lists, prop sourcing, styling, and location coordination. Edit, color‑grade, organize, and export media across multiple aspect ratios (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9) to fit various ad placements.
Partner directly with marketing and creative leadership to brainstorm campaign concepts, review asset performance metrics, and continually optimize visual standards.
Schedule & Travel Logistics
Part‑Time Plus: Immediate availability during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) for collaborative needs.
Hybrid Flexibility: Telecommuting for the majority of tasks, with on‑site presence in our studio at least 2 days per month (more based on production demands).
Local Travel: Regular travel to/from the studio (not reimbursable) and occasional localized travel for external shoots, location scouting, and brand events.
Qualifications
Stellar portfolio showcasing premium/luxury product photography and cinematic video work. Experience shooting highly reflective materials, metals, gemstones, and luxury goods is heavily weighted.
Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Film, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent elite, proven field experience).
Deep understanding of cinematic lighting, audio capture, stabilization equipment, and macro product shooting techniques.
Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.). Smooth navigation of MS Office (Word, intermediate/advanced Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
A self‑starter attitude with the ability to pivot quickly in a fast‑paced launch environment. Must possess or have reliable access to any specialized proprietary gear required for high‑end production not directly provided by our studio.
Exceptional communication skills, a metrics‑conscious eye for performance, and an open mind that embraces constructive creative feedback from leadership.
Bonus Points If You Have
Direct experience working with heritage, EDC (everyday carry), watch, automotive, or fashion luxury brands.
Motion graphics or animation capabilities.
Experience directing and styling talent/models.
Physical Demands & Environment
Comfortable standing, walking, typing, and handling gear for up to 8 hours a day (occasionally up to 10 hours during heavy shoot days). Strong close vision, color vision, and depth perception for meticulous editing, and ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds of lighting or grip equipment.
