Position Objective
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Content Associate to help grow our brand presence and engage our online community. The role is ideal for a marketing professional who enjoys storytelling, short‑form video creation, community engagement, and producing content that inspires and educates audiences across social media channels.
Principal Accountabilities
Content Creation & Publishing
Create engaging platform‑specific content, including:
Short‑form videos (Reels, Shorts, Stories, and other emerging formats)
Product spotlights and educational activities
Behind‑the‑scenes and event coverage
Customer testimonials and classroom features
Static posts and carousels
Polls, Q&A, and community engagement posts
Write compelling captions optimized for engagement and discoverability.
Capture video content during company events, conferences, product launches, and other marketing initiatives
Edit video content using tools such as Frame.io, CapCut, or similar platforms
Schedule and publish content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and others as appropriate.
Community Engagement
Actively engage with Kaplan's online community by monitoring comments, messages, and mentions
Respond to audience inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Identify and engage with brand advocates, educators, and customers
Curate and amplify user‑generated content, including classroom photos, testimonials, and conference experiences
Build meaningful relationships that foster community and strengthen brand awareness.
Content Planning & Collaboration
Support execution of the social media strategy defined by marketing leadership
Maintain and update the social content calendar to ensure consistent posting aligned with campaigns, product launches, promotions, and seasonal initiatives
Collaborate with content, design, merchandising, and marketing teams to identify compelling content opportunities
Stay current on social trends, platform updates, and emerging opportunities.
Campaign Support & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with cross‑functional teams to align social messaging with broader marketing campaigns
Provide social coverage for trade shows, conferences, promotions, and product launches
Assist with basic paid social support as directed by marketing leadership.
Analytics & Optimization
Monitor performance metrics, including engagement, reach, follower growth, and traffic
Identify opportunities to improve performance through:
Video performance analysis
A/B testing
Caption and hook optimization
Platform‑specific adjustments
Share monthly performance insights and recommendations with marketing leadership.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience managing social media for a brand is preferred.
Strong writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
Experience creating and editing short‑form video content.
Comfort appearing on camera and directing or capturing video content featuring others.
Experience using video editing tools such as CapCut, Frame.io, or similar platforms.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Comfort working cross‑functionally with design, content, and marketing teams.
Interest in social media marketing, brand building, and demand generation.
Creative mindset with a passion for social media content creation and brand building.
Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools, including HubSpot is preferred.
Familiarity with paid social campaigns is preferred.
Exposure to performance reporting and KPI tracking preferred.
Passion for education or experience working with early childhood‑focused brands (preferred).
Interest in or familiarity with early childhood education is a plus.
