KSEE24/CBS47 in beautiful Fresno, California is hiring a news reporter We are looking for someone who thrives covering breaking news and can dig beneath police reports and press releases to tell issue-driven stories through real people. The reporter collects, analyzes and presents facts about newsworthy events by interview, investigation or observation for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers. Reports news stories for broadcast and digital platforms, describing the background and details of events and issues. Gathers information through research, interviews, experience or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social or other functions. Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality. Interacts with viewers/users on social media.
Requirements & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Fluency in English
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Superior on-air presence
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Flexibility to work any shift
Benefits Salary $50,000-$60,000 commensurate with experience and skill level. Must join SAG-AFTRA union. All employees must first contact their current manager before applying for an Internal position.
